It was Good Friday and yes, it was time to get away from my desk and get out to enjoy some of what nature has to offer. This walking trail, come bike riding track, winds for a very long way around Brisbane Water, which is the inlet/bay that Gosford is situated upon. We drove to Gosford West to pick up this part of the trail. The top arrow is where we started. This second map puts it more into prespective Here we are at the beginning of our walk. That's Selwyn, my husband, together with Billy our Maltese dog. Along part of the trail there are houses on one side, and water on the other. We pass through a variety of foliage... some of it almost like a jungle. Banana Trees in this jungle scene. But then we pass through lovely Oak Trees... Looking through breaks in the Mangrove Trees to the water beyond. Every good walk deserves a bit of a sit! In fact, this is where we hoped to have our lunch, but others had the same idea! It was vacated by the time we got back to it. This is Marilyn Williams with her pet Billy. Just across from the table was the water. Can you see the Ibis? Once again the foliage changes... it really is a delightful walk! We crossed over this bridge and the creek that was running out into the Bay. What a wonderful relaxing way to spend a couple of hours Central Coast, NSW, Australia Marilyn Williams has finally put

We walked to the bottom arrow, had lunch and then returned.
The trail is not marked on this map, but it simply follows the water's edge.

An open glimpse through some Mangroves over to the distance
where the trail would soon take us.
Selwyn is carrying a back pack with our lunch... yum!
There were a lot of bikes around this day ... many more than walkers.

with water through the trees to the left, and a football park to the right.

The tide was pretty low.
A lonely seagul stood and surveyed the scene.
It was a fair distance away from me, but I brought it up close.
We saw lots of different bird varieties, which was lovely to see.

and to get away from the computer for awhile!
